Along the way, you’ll discover Moroccan history and traditions, enjoy camel treks or off-road exploration, and relax under the stars in desert camps. Whether you opt for 1 or 2 nights in Erg Chegaga, this journey combines adventure, culture, and the tranquility of the desert.

DAY 1: Discover the Scenic Atlas Journey (Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate)

Your journey begins in Marrakech as you cross the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll visit the renowned Ait Benhaddou, showcasing Morocco's rich history and architecture. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco," for an overnight stay.

    *OPTIONS (possible to add): Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (explore the iconic kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage site) + Ouarzazate’s film studios (visit Morocco's famous film studios known as the 'Hollywood of Morocco')

DAY 2: Into the Dunes of Erg Chegaga (Ouarzazate – Tazenakht – Foum Zguid – Iriqui Lake - Erg Chegaga)

Travel through Tazenakht and the arid landscapes of the Iriqui dry lakebed before arriving at the vast Erg Chegaga dunes. Enjoy a night under the stars at a desert camp, surrounded by the endless sand.

    *OPTIONS (possible to add): camel ride (explore the desert landscapes on the back of a camel for a ride) + sandboarding (enjoy sliding down the desert dunes) + cooperative Berber carpet (learn the art of traditional Berber carpet weaving and the techniques passed down through generations)

DAY 3: Embrace the Serenity of the Desert (Erg Chegaga)

Spend the day exploring the dunes of Erg Chegaga, engaging in traditional activities, and embracing the desert’s tranquility. Whether you want to relax or continue your adventures, the day offers flexibility.

    *OPTIONS (possible to add): nomadic family (visit a nomadic family to experience their traditional lifestyle and hospitality in the heart of the desert) + oasis Secret (visit a desert oasis and experience the lush greenery amidst the arid surroundings) + sandbread baking (learn how to bake traditional bread in the sand, a unique desert experience)

DAY 4: Explore Ancient Craft and History (Erg Chegaga – M’hamid – Tamagroute – Zagora)

Leave Erg Chegaga and travel through M'hamid, the last village before the open Sahara. In Tamagroute, visit the famous pottery village and its ancient Quranic library, rich with historical manuscripts. Continue to Zagora for an overnight stay.

DAY 5: Through the Valleys to the Gorges (Zagora – Draa Valley -Nkob – Tinghir – Todra Gorge - Boumalne Dades)

Explore the lush Draa Valley, a landscape filled with date palms and ancient Berber villages. Visit the Todra Gorge, famous for its dramatic cliffs and cooling waters. Continue to Boumalne Dades for the night.

On the final day, visit the stunning Kasbah Amridil in Skoura, surrounded by the lush palm groves of the Skoura Oasis. Afterward, return to Marrakech to conclude your adventure.
